Scentillect™ of Essential Oils – The For Scenterpretation™ of What Aromas Mean?

Scentillect™ for Scenterpretation™ of essential oils. Using your Scent Intelligence to interpret and translate Scent Messages, making you a Scent Whisperer™. What does all of this mean?  Your scents have a certain level of innate, instinctual and habitual intelligence. When you smell a certain scent, your response or reaction is telling you something about yourself, as well as about that particular oil. It may connect on a level that empowers you to be ready to embark on the journey of unveiling and dealing with deep, buried emotional issues. It may also bring up a defense within you, indicating you may not be ready to address those issues yet. It is a form of inner resistance. Maybe because you are suffering in silence with either, grief, anger, worry, or all three, and not feel safe about going there, or sharing it.

Scentillect Concept

Are you a scentillectual™? Do you connect with your essential oils on a deeper level?  Knowing their personality traits, strengths, and benefits on a physical, mental, emotional and energetic level? When you start seeing each individual essential oil as a person, one who has certain characteristics, and lends specific support to an emotion, feeling, thought and ailment, you will then know when to use it in a custom blend.

Your scentillect™ is a powerful skill. It is the mergence of your nose intellect with your analytical and instinctual intellect. Head-heart-gut alignment. The head receives feedback and input from your heart and gut to make a rational decision that addresses both the purpose and goals of a custom blend. The more you blend, the stronger your scentillect™ will become.

You will engage your scentillect™ during an Olfactory Sensory Testing® session, formulation process and creation of essential oil combinations. Scentillect™ will guide when to use what, in what strength and form. When mixing a strong essential oil, such as anise, with a lighter note, such as lemon, you will need a higher ratio of lemon to anise, even if anise is the main oil needed for a particular case or blend. Anise is strong and will overpower lemon, thus, your scentillect™ tells you to increase the number of drops of lemon to balance out the blend, and allow even hints of lemon to shine through.

Scentillect Message Translation

What oils are telling you? I call this Scenterpretation™.  Translating essential oil responses and reactions into meaning – physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically. Here is a brief description of how I do it. You can see the full version of this in my Advanced Blanding Techniques course at the JennScents Aromaversity®.

  • Scent Rating during Olfactory Sensory Testing® can indicate how open someone is to allowing that essential oil in and releasing its benefit.  If someone is highly attracted to the scent, their defenses go down, and that oil connects on a level that is welcoming.  If someone highly dislikes a scent, it could just mean they don’t like it, or it could mean that essential oil is tapping into a place that person is not ready to expose.
  • Scent category analysis can help y™ou determine which direction the person is at, or want to go.  For example, floral tells us they need balance and harmony. Deeper essential oil scenterpretation™ can lead to exactly where that balance needs to happen. Citrus tells us they are feeling too heavy and bogged down, and need to be lifted up.  Contrary, earthy scent attraction tells us someone needs more grounding and stability, and  may be experiencing confusion and spaciness.
  • Scenterpretation™ is the translation of verbal, non-verbal, olfaction and intellect from the client, paired up with your own scentillect and skillset, to deliver the blending masterpiece.
