Scents to help you start off the new year with inspiration, encouragement and energy!

Most people promote “ a new year, a new you”.  But why do you have to be new?  Why can’t you be you, but better or enhanced? Whatever your resolution, be true to who you are, and where you are in your life.  Strive to be authentic, comfortable in your own skin and truly happy so you can actively pursuing your dreams.


Taking a self-evaluation is never a bad place to start.  But first, take a few minutes to reflect back on the past year to see what you loved about your year.  What challenges did you face?  Did you have the right tools to handle those situations? If not, what can you do this year to help you confront and conquer potential challenges?  Is it being better at responding and not reacting? Take a “me” moment at least once a day to break free of the daily demands that can sometimes bog you down? Finding a support system?


Now that you have taken an assessment of where you are at this moment, think about what you might need and want for the coming year.  What kind of “garden” do you want to grow (your 2017 visionary landscape)? What materials or skills do you need to cultivate your garden?  Do you have a plan in place for weed control (those time and energy sucking predators who take advantage of you)? What environment will you need to grow the happiest and healthiest garden?  For some people creating an actual vision board they can look at every day for motivation is helpful.  For others, it is creating a Vision Board in Pinterest. Why not invite some friends over to “Vision Dream” together. It can be more fun that way, especially for “O” blood types.  For “A” blood types, you might want to be by yourself sipping on some chamomile tea. Whatever you need, schedule the time to make it happen, and no canceling on yourself!


Now, let’s help you create the environment and mood to dream and create your vision…

  • Sight – find a happy place either in the garden, favorite room or taking a bubble bath
  • Sound – play some inspirational music weather is it a spa sound, or rocking out to Metalica
  • Touch – put on your favorite pajamas, or favorite tee shirt and jeans
  • Taste – grab a cup of your favorite tea or coffee
  • Smell – surround yourself with your favorite scents such as lavender, orange or cinnamon (I’ll share some inspirational blends below)
  • Intuition – connect with yourself on a deep level so your true authentic self can help you create true and authentic goals


I am joining in with you. I just finished this entire experience as I described above and let me tell you, it is liberating and exciting.  I feel relaxed that everything is how it should be; energized and enthusiastic about what 2017 will bring; inspired to be my best self – for me; and to be my best self for my family.
